Frequently Asked Questions:
What is the process for scheduling an appointment for procedures?
You can contact the staff nurse of the unit to coordinate your preferred schedule and the procedure to be done. The unit is open from Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm.
What if my Oncologist is not affiliated with Fe del Mundo?
Since we only carry out orders from accredited physicians, the patient needs to be registered in the Outpatient Clinic Services Department and will be referred to an accredited Hematologist-Oncologist. The available hematologist/oncologist will see the patient together with his medical records to evaluate the prescribed procedure to be done. After the validation of the order, the patient can be sent to the hema-onco department for the procedure.
Am I allowed to bring my own chemotherapy drugs?
Medications purchased outside are allowed to be used during any infusion but needs to follow the process in the Pharmacy department prior to use.
